Smooth whisky, warm chai spices, and orange oils โ a cozy, aromatic sipper that feels like dessert in a glass ๐โจ.

Ingredients
- ๐ฅ Indian whisky or bourbon: 60 ml (2 fl oz)
- ๐ฏ Masala chai syrup*: 15โ20 ml (0.5โ0.67 fl oz)
- ๐ซ Aromatic bitters: 2 dashes
- ๐ง Large clear ice cube
- ๐ Wide orange peel, to garnish
- โญ (Optional) 1 star anise, to garnish
- *Chai Syrup (makes ~250 ml / 1 cup):
- ๐ง Water: 250 ml (1 cup / 8 fl oz)
- โ Assam/black tea: 4 g (2 tsp)
- ๐ฏ Jaggery or brown sugar: 100 g (ยฝ cup / 3.5 oz)
- ๐ฟ Green cardamom pods (crushed): 4
- ๐ฟ Cinnamon stick: 1 small
- ๐ฟ Cloves: 3
- ๐ซ Fresh ginger, sliced: 10 g (2 tsp / 0.35 oz)
- โซ Black peppercorns (cracked): 4โ5
Preparation
- 1๏ธโฃ Make chai syrup (10โ12 min): Simmer water + spices + ginger 5 min. Add tea 2 min. Strain over jaggery; stir to dissolve and cool.
- 2๏ธโฃ Build: In a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube, add whisky, chai syrup, bitters.
- 3๏ธโฃ Stir 15โ20 s to chill and dilute slightly.
- 4๏ธโฃ Express the orange peel over the drink, rub the rim, and drop in. Add โญ star anise if using.
