Ingredients

  • 🥩 500g ground beef
  • 🐑 250g ground lamb (optional, for authentic flavor)
  • 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🧂 1 teaspoon salt
  • 🧂 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 🧅 1 large onion, finely sliced (for serving)
  • 🥖 Flatbread (somun or pita) for serving

Preparation

  • 1. 🥣 In a large bowl, mix ground beef, lamb (if using), minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • 2. ✋ Knead the meat mixture well until smooth and sticky (about 5 minutes).
  • 3. 🧊 Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).
