• For the tomato sauce

• For the mashed potatoes

Preparation

• 🥣 In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley. Form small meatballs.
• 🔥 Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.
• 🍳 In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add tomato passata, salt, pepper, and oregano. Stir well.
• 🍅 Return the meatballs to the pan, cover, and simmer in the sauce for 20–25 minutes.
• 🥔 Meanwhile, boil potatoes in salted water until soft (about 15–20 minutes).
• 🥄 Drain the potatoes, add butter and warm milk, then mash until smooth and creamy.
• 🍽 Serve the meatballs hot over a bed of mashed potatoes with plenty of tomato sauce.
